Post Re: Tintagel game day on February 15th
Folks, thanks for coming out to Tintagel for game day. I was just sick that my schedule was messed around so I couldn't game. A magazine was visiting to take photos and interviews of the armoured fighters, and they were delayed until the afternoon. :(

It was cool and nostalgic to see the Battletech game set up. Oddly, my thought was this: wouldn't it be intresting to set up a battletech board based on city conditions in Tokyo. For example, the big mechs would only be able to travel on the larger streets, with a maze of smaller side streets for troops and smaller vehicles.

Oh yes. There are a ton of card stock models floating around as pdfs. Even better, although hideously expensive, would be model railroad buildings.

If we could get three or four people to commit to making paper buildings, we could probably get a nice table laid out.

We had a small city setup a few months ago using the printed out buildings. Check the Yahoo groups past Game Day pictures.
It would be neat to do a Tokyo type city with troops. But time and space and lack of Battletech players makes building all that for one game in a year not much worth it. To dream though....

I just made a Car Wars map for online play based on streets in Tokyo. Picture small fast armored compact cars with vulcan machines on the front and spike droppers in the back zooming around the twisty city streets of Tokyo shooting at each other.

Tokyo has a weath of scenarios for games.
