Space combat aficionados, tally ho!

As I mentioned earlier I was thinking about bringing my Battlefleet Gothic minis back to Japan in May. But looking around for alternatives I came across . It has a slightly more realistic approach to space combat than BFG without being to fiddly. All in all a good ruleset I think.

It was originally released in 1992 but has been continually updated and the current rulebooks are freely available for download at the .
Many of the rules has been updated or removed so they're kind of all over the place. I think the best place to start is the new if you want to familiarize yourself with the basics and then check out - an unofficial compilation of the most up to date rules (generally known as 2.5).

What I'm getting at in this round-about way is that I recently invested in starter fleets for and and when I'm done painting them I'll have them available for some demo games, so let me know if you're interested!

You can have a look at the models .

You have a deal my good man! :)

Also, inspired by your blog and needing something to keep me motivated I just started up - a blog/journal following the development of my two Full Thrust fleets. Feel free to poke around.

Hey Sam!
Always glad to hear more people being interested in Full Thrust.:D

I ordered the models from and it's actually quite cheap, especially since you don't have to worry about VATS when ordering from outside of the EU.

I paid £47 for two starter fleets of 17 ships each, including shipping. Have a look at on my Full Thrust blog for more info on how to get started.

I'm heading off to Sweden for a couple of weeks this month but will be back. And since I have two fleets I'm happy to demo the game for people who're interested. :)

Quality, looked at the blog and quick rules, looks pretty interesting, nice paint jobs by the way and...I have to admit I loved the green chunk of space, hehe

Anyway a demo would be awsome and of course cheap models are always welcome, are you back for the Saitama day at the end of the month as I was thinking of going.

Well, thanks for the kind words. :)

Yes, I'll be back for the Saitama game day and unless something comes up I'll be there. Hopefully with some black space in tow. Hehe!

Thinking about checking this out... does anywhere local like Yellow Submarine have the minis?

Hey there Howard! Welcome to the boards. :)

As far as I know there are no FT minis in stores here in Japan. But ordering directly from Ground Zero Games is still very cheap (including shipping) so that's a perfectly viable way to go.

Yeah, I checked YS in Akihabara today and didn't see any. I'm going by the Shinjuku one tomorrow for something else but I'm doubtful. I'll check the shipping from Ground Zero; the prices themselves are quite cheap. Some of the fleets look sweet.
